Jarrod recently completed his Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) Summer Youth Work Experience Program at Rural King, where he gained valuable workplace experience while continuing to build the skills needed for future success. Way to go!
During the program, Jarrod learned how to properly face shelves, while strengthening his work habits, social skills, and patience. His positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to improving each day made him a valuable member of the team.
The OOD Summer Youth Work Experience Program gives young people with disabilities the opportunity to earn a paycheck while developing workplace skills, building confidence, exploring career interests, and preparing for competitive integrated employment.
We are incredibly proud of all that Jarrod accomplished this summer and can't wait to see him continue to grow, learn new skills, and achieve his employment goals!
