Candidates for job openings will be selected on the basis of qualifications, abilities, experience and satisfactory employment/personal references. Employees must be able to meet any required certification standards for their position.  

At a minimum any person selected for employment with Belco Works, Inc. must:

  1. Have attained the age of 18 years.
  2. Have successfully completed a medical exam indicating fitness for duty, if required.
  3. Have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED for candidates for most positions.  Some staff positions require additional education to meet minimum qualifications.
  4. Have a valid driver’s license, if specified in the job description for the position
  5. Have successfully passed a criminal records check, abuser registry check, nurse registry check and other required background information as mandated by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. 
  6. To be eligible for employment with Belco Works, Inc., the applicant must be a US citizen or a legal resident with authorization to work in this country.
